User Journey

A complete walkthrough of the OROKAI user journey — from first sign-up and wallet creation through strategy selection, first allocation, ongoing management, and exit — with time comparisons against traditional DeFi at every stage.

OROKAI simplifies DeFi entry: from on-ramp through "zero-setup wallet," strategy selection, first allocation, to monitoring and potential "one-click" migrations between protocols and chains - with full user control (self-custody).

Crypto exchanges are executed by external DEX from the list of approved integrations; fiat/card settlements are handled by licensed partners. Protocol returns are variable and not guaranteed; every operation is signed by the user in their wallet.

IMPORTANT

Time savings don't mean OROKAI controls your funds. You still sign every transaction. We just prepare them better.

The Complete User Journey

Stage 1: Entry

Goal: Get user from "I want to try DeFi" to "I have funds ready"

Traditional DeFi Path:

  1. Research wallets (30-60 min)

  2. Install wallet, save seed phrase (anxiety: "what if I lose it?")

  3. Register on CEX, wait for KYC (1-3 days)

  4. Buy crypto on CEX

  5. Learn how to withdraw to wallet

  6. Pay withdrawal fee + wait for confirmations

Total time: 2-5 days | Steps: 15+ | Stress level: High

OROKAI Path:

Sign up (email/social)

Zero-setup wallet created

Buy crypto with card (via licensed partner)

Funds arrive in YOUR wallet

Total time: 15-30 minutes; Steps: 4; Stress level: Low

UX ABSTRACTION, NOT CUSTODY

"Zero-setup" does not mean custody; it's a UX abstraction over a wallet operating in the self-custody model.

Stage 2: Education & Profile

Goal: Help user understand options without information overload

Traditional DeFi Path:

  1. Research protocols (Reddit, YouTube, Discord) - 4-8 hours

  2. Try to understand: APY, TVL, audits, risks

  3. Comparison paralysis ("Which one is best?")

  4. Pick based on incomplete information or FOMO

Result: Often suboptimal choice or no choice at all

OROKAI Path:

Quick profile setup (5-10 min): Goals, risk, horizon

AI shows 3 options matched to YOUR Profile

Clear explanations: "Why this?" reason-codes

Compare side-by-side (costs, risks, steps)

Result: Informed decision in 10-15 minutes

Stage 3: First Allocation

Goal: Deploy funds into chosen strategy safely

Traditional DeFi Path:

  1. Go to protocol website (verify URL - phishing risk)

  2. Connect wallet (hope it's the real site)

  3. Approve contract (often "unlimited" - scary)

  4. Wait, sign, pay gas (surprise cost)

  5. Stake/deposit (another tx, more gas)

  6. Wait for confirmation, check if it worked

  7. Realize you need to manually track rewards

Result: 5-7 separate transactions | Each with hidden gas cost | 30-60 minutes

OROKAI Path:

Review prepared transaction flow (all steps visible upfront)

See total costs BEFORE signing anything

Sign steps in YOUR wallet (we prepare, you authorize)

Track automatically in unified dashboard

Result: Same transactions, but orchestrated & transparent | 10-15 minutes

Key Difference: Cost transparency upfront | You still sign everything

Stage 4: Ongoing Management

Goal: Monitor performance, claim rewards, adapt to changes

Traditional DeFi Path:

  1. Manually check each protocol website for rewards

  2. Claim rewards (separate tx + gas each time)

  3. Swap rewards to stablecoin (if desired) - more txs

  4. Monitor APY changes manually

  5. Research alternatives when APY drops

  6. Miss opportunities due to time/effort required

Result: Suboptimal returns | High overhead (2-4 hours/month)

OROKAI Path:

Unified dashboard shows all positions

Optional auto-claim + convert to USDT (you authorize once)

AI monitors APY changes, suggests adjustments

Notifications for opportunities (low gas, better rates)

One-click migration flows (you review & sign)

Result: Optimized returns | Minimal time (10-20 min/month)

Key Difference: Automation ≠ custody | You approve all actions

Stage 5: Rebalancing / Migration

Goal: Move funds to better opportunities efficiently

Traditional DeFi Path:

  1. Unstake/withdraw from Protocol A (tx + gas)

  2. Wait for lock-up period / unstaking queue

  3. Bridge to another chain (if needed) - complex, risky

  4. Swap asset (if needed) - DEX tx + gas + slippage

  5. Approve new protocol (tx + gas)

  6. Stake/deposit in Protocol B (tx + gas)

Result: 4-6 transactions | High error risk | Hours to days

OROKAI Path:

Compare current vs. alternative (side-by-side)

Review full migration path (all steps + costs shown upfront)

  • All steps clearly listed

  • Total migration cost (gas + fees + slippage)

  • Break-even analysis: "Migration pays for itself in X days"

Approve flow, sign steps in YOUR wallet

Track progress in real-time

Result: Same txs, but orchestrated | Lower error risk | 15-30 minutes

Key Difference: One-click = one flow, multiple signatures | You control each step

Stage 6: Exit / Off-Ramp

Goal: Convert crypto back to fiat or withdraw

Traditional DeFi Path:

  1. Unstake/withdraw (wait for lock-up)

  2. Swap to major asset (ETH/BTC) if needed

  3. Send to CEX (check addresses, networks - error risk)

  4. Sell on CEX

  5. Withdraw to bank (1-3 days)

Result: Multiple steps | High error risk (wrong network = lost funds)

OROKAI Path:

Initiate withdrawal flow

OROKAI prepares: unstake → swap → off-ramp (via partner)

Review all steps & costs, sign in YOUR wallet

Partner handles fiat conversion (KYC on their side)

Result: Orchestrated flow | Network verification built-in | Reduced error risk

Key Difference: Partner handles fiat, not us | OROKAI = software layer only

KEY PRINCIPLES

Self-Custody Throughout Your keys, your funds. Always. OROKAI never has access. You Sign Everything Every transaction requires your explicit signature. Automation = prepared flows, not execution without permission. Transparent Costs All fees (gas, DEX, bridge, OROKAI) shown BEFORE you sign. No Guarantees Yields are variable. Protocols are external. We inform, not advise. Blockchain Rules Apply Transactions are final (blockchain nature). OROKAI doesn't add or remove this property. Risk Warnings Clear labels on complexity, liquidity, protocol risk. YOU decide what level of risk to accept
